Norske Skog on five continents

Norske Skog has today, Friday July 28, closed the acquisition of the Zealand-based paper and pulp company Fletcher Challenge Paper (FCP) for NOK 21 billion. This is the largest acquisition any Norwegian company has ever made outside Norway.

Every summer, students from universities and colleges secure work with Norske Skog as interns/temporary employees. To a great extent they act as ordinary vacation substitutes and shift workers. In the summer of 1998, 60 students had summer jobs with Norske Skog.

Norske Skog can offer research work for students working on scientific projects or main degree subject dissertations. We want to further develop this type of cooperation, and will increase our efforts to find relevant research tasks. Norske Skog supports specialist research at several colleges and universities. The Group requires a broad range of skills, and people with different kinds of training and experience.
